Feeling Butterflies, by ESR
Friday, a peaceful autumn afternoon, the end of the work week, and nothing planned. The evening feels cool, so I'm settling in to enjoy some time...
Feel butterflies It is an expression that transports me to love, to being in love, but that actually makes me wonder what it means to be in love.
I've never felt those butterflies in my stomach that the love songs or movies we love so much tell us about, and that make us believe that movie love exists and that's what we want, but please, let it last longer than the hour and a half that the movie lasts.
I've never felt those butterflies from the movies.
Actually, if they ever dared to appear (the butterflies) I simply ignored them, not consciously, but I ignored them.
So when I hear feeling butterflies I, in reality, think about those wonderful moments that when I remember them, a smile escapes me, in those moments when I feel loved and valued more than I think I deserve, those moments that leave me speechless (look, it's difficult) and those moments are the ones that deserve to feel butterflies.
